Unfortunately, some people are sick all their life and from rare and strange diseases that often hinder even the best doctors.
Meet the rarest diseases in the world:
Hypertrichosis is a disease during which there is overgrowth of hair, even at places where it shouldn’t be. In some cases, thick hair is seen after burning, long-wearing plaster bandages, after injections or venous insufficiency. The ladies might haveman’s type hair growth. This condition may occur when having problems with the ovaries or adrenal glands.
Syndrome of the living dead
Sounds ominous. This syndrome is caused by depression and suicidal tendencies. Patients believe they have lost everything valuable and life is not worth. Some believe they have already died and even feel the smellof theirputrescent body and have a feeling they are eaten by the worms.
Relax, the sick people do not drink blood, nor love to sleep in coffins. They simply cannot tolerate sunlight. On exposure to radiation and sun rays the skin of such patients becomes in bubbles.
Blue skin syndrome
This disease is extremely rare with humans, but is specificfor dogs and cats. Last infected people were registered in the 60’s of last century in Kentucky, USA. The whole family had this problem and they were called “blue people”. The disease is inherited, but does not interfere with a normal lifestyle.
Micropsia a vision disorder in which the objects are seen smaller than the real size. One sees things around him in smaller size. The eyes are not damaged, the problem is in mental perception of visual images.
Hetchinsan – Guilford syndrome
Progeria is a pathological condition when the skin changes as well as the internal body organs and human organism is aging prematurely. The disease occurs in early childhood. The child is not growing normally, his/her skin starts having atrophic changes, the skin becomes thin, dry and wrinkled,sclerotic vascular network appearson the body as well as highly pigmented spots. The sick person has big head, beak type of nose and lower jaw is underdeveloped. His/her muscles had atrophied, there are dystrophic processes in the nails, teeth and hair.
Elephant disease (filariasis)
This disease is caused by parasitic worms, whose larvae are transmitted through mosquito bites. Once inside the human body this disease settles in the inguinal lymph nodes or in the armpits. Thus creating an obstacle to lymphatic flow. Due to this obstacle affected organs, most commonly the limbs, breast or scrotum can grow to impressive size. The disease occurs very rarely in Bulgaria. Most ill people live in tropical and subtropical areas. Most often filariasis affects the knees. At the beginning of the disease a large swelling appears and periodically decreases and reappears after that. Several years later, knees and feet are visibly thickened. The disease carries this name because the ankle joint has indentation that resembles an elephant’s foot. The disease is not fatal, but causes serious damage to the person. The person with difficulties to moves and this makes difficult his/her adapting among other people.
This disease has become known relatively soon. The symptoms are definitely strange. The sick people feel that insects are crawling beneath their skin. Lateropen wounds appear in these places.
When people suffer from this disease they react quite actively to sudden sounds or scenes. They spread out their hands, began to shout and nervously repeat the same words and sentences. They need time to calmdown completely.
This disease is most often seen with young children and people with delayed mental development. Often patients put in their mouth and swallow dangerous objects such as scissors, knives, nails, etc. The disease can occur with pregnant women as a result of intoxication.
